B>E>A>K 10:30+

Hatched from a musical nest in Sunderland in 2005 and revered as one of the North-East’s most vibrant and entertaining live bands, B>E>A>K consist of a group of experienced local musicians all heavily involved in the region’s music scene. The band consists of members of bands such as Coal Train, Field Music, Razmataz Lorry Excitement, This Aint Vegas, Boxed Roomer & The Lake Poets as core participants, with some live shows including guests from The Futureheads & Maximo Park.

Rivals 9.45-10.15pm

Jagged rock riffs are raining down from various principalities of The North East. Rivals are raw, intense, passionate and a tight as hell, delivering a concoction of 80s post-hardcore sensibilities and classic rock power through pounding drums, brooding bass and precise riffs.

Goy Boy Mcilroy 9.00-9.30pm

Goy Boy McIlroy are an alt blues band from the Northeast of England. It would be easy to describe their background using the clichéd stereotype of a grey and dreary skyline clogged up with factories and massive chimneys spewing out black clouds of smoke, but Darlington is different to its industrial neighbours. It is a small Quaker market town void of hope and filled with apathy and closed mindedness. It is from that bleak social landscape that they draw their inspiration. They effortlessly blend rock, blues and post-punk influences to create a “Crazy blues wailin’ righteous racket that embraces Beefheart and the Delta in equal measure”

By Toutatis 8.15-8.45pm

By Toutatis are a four-piece of historical racketeers from the wonderful town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea. They've been variously described as sounding like Jacques Brel, The National and a medieval chamber band.

Maps Are Fiction 7.30-8.00pm

Formed in 2009 as heavy post rock band Maps Are Fiction now have a more expansive sound, using synths, samplers and drum machines. Maps Are Fiction have supported the Joy Formidable and Field Music, as well as playing various gigs in Glasgow and London. 2013 will see the release of debut album 'Post Mortem Family Portriat'.
