Following the huge success of last year’s event, Generator and NARC magazine have recently revealed the complete line-up for 2010’s Evolution Emerging event taking place on Saturday 29th May.The event will feature 25 of the greatest new artists from the North East encompassing all genres of popular music playing live shows across six key music venues in the Ouseburn Valley area, Newcastle and all shows will be FREE to attend.

Malcolm McLaren, the undoubted Prince of Puppetry was responsible for numerous shifts in popular music. Regarded by many as the Godfather of Punk, he can also lay claim to the equally important title of McLaren the Merciless - Destroyer of Prog!. I first met Malcolm in Newcastle 25 years ago whilst preparing for a special Mid Summer Night’s edition of the legendary TV show The Tube.
