  • Adele won two but got cut off mid-sentence, Coldplay aped Arcade Fire, James Corden resembled a reporter for a regional television station stood in the middle of a busy high street and the KLF unfortunately didn’t show up and set fire to a million pounds (or Olly Murs) - it’s the BRITS 2012.
  • Pulp may have made ‘This is Hardcore’ and Murdoch may be seeking to reaffirm the old adage that ‘sex sells’ with the inevitable launch of the Sunday Sun but Jazz FM has trumped them all by apparently broadcasting noises from an ‘adult film’. • As the spectre of secondary ticketing continues to spook the live sector, ticket agency WeGotTickets has announced that it recently hit one million users, also helping charities to raise more than £10K in the last year. The paperless ticket agency teamed up with month-long festival Oxjam to raise over £6,700, with £3556 received in donations made in addition to the ticket price.
  • The BRITS isn’t the only show in town this week, with the Music Producer’s Guild celebrating the best production talents throughout the music world including Jamie xx (pictured), Ethan Johns and Steve Lillywhite.

  • Just when you thought it was out..Myspace pulls you back in. • The music world is still reeling in shock following the tragic death of pop superstar Whitney Houston as tributes roll in, sales go through the roof and Sony scramble to save face following a price hike of the singer’s albums.Sony issued a statement yesterday (14 February), admitting that they were ‘mistaken’ to increase the price of two Whitney Houston compilations at the weekend, only hours after the singer was found dead aged 48 in a Beverly Hills hotel room.
