Glastonbury and Festival Republic have ended their partnership, after running the 177,500 capacity festival together for more than a decade.Melvin Benn’s Festival Republic (then still known as Mean Fiddler) took operational control of the festival in 2001 and acted as the license holders for the event, which has boasted consecutive record sell-out weekends and headline performances from Jay Z, Radiohead and Bruce Springsteen during that time.

Generator has teamed up with screen agency Northern Film and Media to launch an £8K commission for a filmmaker to put together a new video for XL Recordings artist SBTRKT.As part of the Transmission project, five shortlisted filmmakers will produce a DIY video for SBTRKT’s ‘Trails of the past’ track, going forward to be interviewed by a panel including both agencies and a representative from the label, with the winner awarded a production budget of £8K to make the final product.

The BBC Trust has said the Radio One is falling short of expectations in attracting a younger audience to the station, with the average age of the audience at 30. The trust published a progress report saying: "Our aim that Radio 1 focuses more clearly on a young target audience so that its median age is within the target age group is still outstanding, although work is under way to address this issue”.
