Generator is teaming up with The Roundhouse, EMI and Livewire for this year’s 30/30, with a deadline of 01 October for artists to submit tracks.
Over 30 days in November, 30 emerging artists from across the UK will record tracks in the EMI / PRSF studio at the Roundhouse with a top music producer, going on to release them on Roundhouse Records and perform at the ‘Roundhouse Rising’ event in February 2013 in London.
Joe Frankland, Artist Development Manager at Generator said: “We’re proud to support musicians and music businesses across the UK and we’re very excited to be working in partnership with the Roundhouse and EMI on the 30/30 project. We’ve seen first-hand how effective the project is and we’re thrilled to be involved this year in selecting artists and producers and in providing support to emerging artists through our Artist Development programme.”
Oli Kluczewski, Music Programme Producer at the Roundhouse added: “As always 30/30 is about providing incredible opportunities for aspiring musicians looking to enter the creative industries and this year we’re able to deliver this on a national level thanks to our new partners.”
Artists must be between the ages of 16-25 but there are no restrictions on genre and the tracks will also be compiled for a charity album released digitally, with all proceeds going to support opportunities for young people within the arts, via the Roundhouse’s creative programme for young people aged 11-25.
Application details can be found here and you can also listen to previous 30/30 albums.
