Those of you not headed off to Leeds or Reading festival this bank holiday weekend can at least go for a consolation prize of getting involved in BBC 6 Music’s DIY fan takeover.
The station is set to hand over the station to its listeners across the August Bank Holiday with a ‘Do It Yourself’ programme, giving them a chance to DJ and select playlists.
Listeners can have their say on what they would like to hear on the station for the 12-hour takeover on Bank holiday Monday via the station’s DIY website now.
Fans of the station will be able to influence what is played on various shows, including Steve Lamacq's Roundtable and the Tom Robinson show over the weekend.
