The Association of Independent Music (AIM), is staging its digital conference ‘Music Connected’ for a tenth year in London this May.
Taking place on Wednesday 9 May at Glaziers Hall, AIM has confirmed that the conference will feature speakers from eMusic, Youtube, Noikia and The Orchard.
The BPI’s ‘Anti Piracy’ unit will also be in attendance, presumably wearing sharp suits, futuristic looking earpieces and scanners that can detect even the slightest scent of Torrents on people attending.
Music Ally’s Paul Brindley will chair the series of conference sessions and Media Junction’s Neil Cartwright is set to deliver a presentation called ‘Effective Digital marketing Tips for Independent Labels’.
Other topics covered include emerging digital markets and how to maximise revenue from Youtube. The event in 2011 was a sell-out, attracting over 400 delegates from over 130 independent music companies including Bella Union, Domino and PIAS.
