Music Week has joined forces with up and coming North East media company Amazing Tunes to feature their weekly chart of emerging musical talent.
Amazing Radio, a station which seems to be going from strength to strength as a global player in the digital music world compiles the top 20 tracks from the 10,000 new acts featured on its station each week.
The countdown each Sunday is followed up with a blog on www.amazingtunes.com featuring the number one artist, highest climbers and latest entries and it will now be featured live on Music Week’s website.
Trevor Dann, Managing Director of Broadcast at Amazing Radio said: “Amazing Radio is a powerful new platform for independent artists and is providing a unique broadcasting model”.
Music Week Associate Editor Robert Ashton also commented on the partnership, saying: “Music Week is all about helping to discover and promote new talent and the new deal with amazingtunes.com is going to be an important part of that mission”.
The station, which is part of Amazing Media Group based in Gateshead and founded by Paul Campbell in 2005 broadcast its first live radio show on Tuesday 4 January, presented by Kyle Wilkinson, this will be on the air each weekday between 3-7pm.
They have also launched ‘The Amazing Sessions’, recording live sessions of the most popular artists on their station with former John Peel show producer John Williams overseeing the recordings.
