Best Bar None Generator Live Music Venue Awards

Best Bar None has teamed up with Generator for two new awards as part of the 2009 scheme:
• Best Live Music Venue Award
• Best DJ Award

Generator Best Live Music Venue Award
This award considers the full range of Live Music Venues and the people who produce huge diversity in this expanding sector and enrich the cultural offerings of the city.

The award takes into consideration many different factors that make up the highest quality experience for audience, artist and promoter alike. The award also takes in how the venue promotes the city as one of the leading providers of Live Music in the UK.

Small venues have as much chance to win as large venues as risk taking and programming of minority genres is also taken into consideration.

Generator Best DJ Award
The best DJ award is a new one which recognises the depth of technical and
creative brilliance which is in abundance within the city boundaries.

Ranging from DJ’s who play in bars to those who grace the decks of Newcastle’s leading club nights, this award recognises personal achievements, contributing to the City’s reputation as being one of the most exciting to visit as well as the vast array of production credits that the DJ’s have to their names. We will also be looking at those who put something back by way of sharing their knowledge and help other young DJ’s find their own path.
