    STAN Deliver New Album

    Newcastle's premier purveyors of power pop STAN will launch their fourth album, "These are the days" with a special live show in the City next month.
  • We’re making a list, we’re checking it twice, we’re looking for support acts for Detroit Social Club’s two jam packed festive gigs at The Cluny in Newcastle.Taking over the venue for two nights of seasonal cheer, snow, reindeers and rock and roll, Detroit Social Club want four acts to help spread the Christmas spirit to a packed venue on 20 and 21 December.

    Vivid in Vogue

    A new grass roots label set up in Northumberland is aiming to offer emerging artists a variety of different ways to release their music.Vivid Records will facilitate album releases but this will run in conjunction with Satellite Records, an experimental singles–only platform that will essentially test the waters for new acts.
  • NME darlings The Chapman Family are returning to their spiritual home of The Georgian Theatre, Stockton as part of their UK tour this November and are offering a young local act the chance to play alongside them on the night.

    Running up that hill

    The Tunstall Hill Sessions are shaping up to be the North East equivalent of the popular ‘Black Cab sessions’, with unique and offbeat outdoor performances from artists such as The Futureheads and members of Maximo Park.
