    Evolution needs you!

    The artist liaison team at Evolution Festival is seeking some outstanding volunteers to work backstage at our fantastic outdoor event in the North East. Taking place over the Diamond Jubilee weekend (Sunday 3rd and Monday 4th June), the 30,000- capacity event has grown to be the biggest outdoor event in the North East and a key player on the national UK festival scene, kicking off the summer season with eclectic line-ups in a uniquely urban location.

  • The organisers of the Pukkelpop festival in Belgium have announced that they are cancelling the remainder of the festival following the deaths of five people due to a stage collapse during a storm yesterday (Thursday August 18th).According to reports from BBC News, staging collapsed at The Chateau stage and trees were uprooted when the violent storm hit.
  • More UK festivals have signed up to the ‘Attitude Is Everything’ campaign that aims to improve access for deaf and disabled people attending live music events.Working with artists, festival promoters venue operators and audiences, ‘Attitude Is Everything’ are putting a best practice charter in place across the UK. As a result of a partnership with the London Borough of Tower hamlets, every event that takes place at London’s Victoria Park will now adhere to this as an expected “event standard” of their gig or festival.
