Soundscope is a Generator mentorship scheme that seeks to explore, encourage and enable new creative talents. The project matches aspiring songwriters, rappers and lyricists with first-rate producers from the region to take part in a three-month programme that culminates in a live performance and a high quality recording. Work is already well underway with each of the musical partnerships and the event showcasing all of the performers involved in the scheme will take place at Tokyo on the 12th March.
Supported by their producers, each of the Soundscope participants will perform the original music they have been working on for the last 3 months.
This is a FREE EVENT and all are welcome. Doors are at 8.30pm. The next and final course will be taking place between 16th – 20th February at the Performance Academy, Newcastle College The Roots course is now fully subscribed; however, we are placing people on a waiting list for the programme, should spaces become available.
The current 12 week production and DJing course concludes on the 26th February and Generator are now recruiting for the next, which will begin on Tuesday 17th March. As with all previous courses, there are only 12 spaces available, so get in on the ground floor! This is the first course that will be accredited and those who complete the course will achieve the Bronze Arts Award. Please contact Joe @ Generator for information on all of the above and for regular updates go to the Generator website.
