Independent Music Companies Association Impala and the Worldwide Independent Network (WIN) have joined forces to host a discussion at Midem next week that will aim to carve out a shared manifesto for independent music organisations and entrepreneurs.
The two organisations are hoping to reach agreement on a ten-point manifesto that will define the role of independent companies in the future of the music industry. Confirmed speakers include Beggars Chairman Martin Mills and AIM CEO / WIN Chairman Alison Wenham, with the debate opened up to all music companies that are members of Impala attending the conference in Cannes next week.
The meeting will take place on Monday 30th January and industry conference Midem takes place in Cannes, France this year from 28-31 January.
