Hotly tipped North East act Let’s Buy Happiness were recently confirmed to appear on the John Peel Stage at Glastonbury Festival  this year.

The festival is taking place on 23rd-27th of June at Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset and will feature a vast array of huge music acts, including headliners U2, Muse and Stevie Wonder.

Let's Buy Happiness

Let’s Buy Happiness, based in Newcastle and tipped as part of Generator’s Super 8 tips at the beginning of this year were booked for the festival following a performance at the Q Glastonbury Emerging Talent event in Pilton last week.

A panel comprised of Glastonbury organisers Michael and Emily Eavis, BBC Radio One’s Huw Stephens and Q Editor Paul Rees selected 12 finalists from 1,600 applications and Let’s Buy Happiness impressed the judges enough to secure a slot on the legendary John Peel Stage.
