Alongside Evolution, things are shaping up well for festivals across the UK this summer.
Just up the road, T in the Park takes place in Balado, Kinross-Shire, Scotland from Friday 10th July- Sunday 12th. Kings of Leon, The Killers and Blur will headline the festival with acts such as Snow Patrol and Elbow also recently announced.
Joining them will be a variety of artists such as Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, The Tings Tings, Mogwai, Bloc Party and Maximo Park.

Meanwhile, as the Glastonbury rumour mill successfully predicted, Bruce Springsteen, Blur and Neil Young are confirmed to headline the legendary event at Worthy Farm near Pilton in the South West between Wednesday 24th- Sunday 28th June this year.
The 11 finalists of the Q magazine emerging talent competition were recently announced and include Dead Like Harry, a Sheffield band who have previously played as part of Generator’s Transit promoter development scheme.

Tickets for Glastonbury sold out on 3 February 2009, although a very limited number of cancelled tickets will be resold on 5th April.

Camp Bestival 2009 is happening again over the weekend of July 24, 25, 26th in Lulworth Castle, Dorset. The line-up was recently announced by Hi-de-hi’s Sue Pollard on the festival website and includes PJ Harvey, Mercury Rev and Candi Staton.
Elsewhere, underground festival promoters All Tomorrow’s Parties present two weekends of events, bizarrely taking place at Butlin’s holiday centre in Minehead.
The first of these, entitled The Fans Strike Back and taking place on 8th- 10th May invites ticket holders to vote for a top ten of bands to approach for the line-up and so far includes Devo, The Jesus Lizard, M83 and Spiritualized.
The second weekend is happening from 15th- 17th May and is being curated by The Breeders, featuring Bon Iver, CSS and Foals.

For those of you inclined to rock, the 2009 Download Festival is due to take place on the 12-14th of June at Donington Park. Confirmed to headline are Slipknot, Def Leppard and the recently reformed Faith No More, alongside acts such as the Prodigy and Marilyn Manson.
The Killers and Oasis, were recently confirmed to headline the V festival, taking place on two sites in Chelmsford and Staffordshire from August 22nd-23rd.
With Leeds / Reading alongside Latitude and many more line-ups yet to be confirmed, watch this space for new announcements!
