Nick Hornby and Jah Wobble onboard for Durham book festival

There are many exciting events planned for Durham Book Festival, this year taking place between 23rd October- 1st November.

 

The festival is programmed by New Writing North and produced by Durham City Arts.

 

Nick Hornby (author of High Fidelity, Fever Pitch and About a Boy) will be discussing his adaptation of journalist Lynn Barber’s memoir ‘An Education with Lynn’ on Sunday 25th October.

 

Punk bass legend Jah Wobble will also be presenting his memoirs of life in the music industry and his time with John Lydon’s post-punk group Public Image Ltd, entitled ‘Memoirs of a geezer’ (pictured above) on Monday 26th October, Gala Theatre at 7.30pm.

 

There will also be a unique opportunity to hear from the current Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy, who will headline and host an evening of poetry by North East women on Friday 30th October in Durham Town Hall.
