A 'wiki' online music resource was recently created for the North East music community, enabling all promoters, organisations, venue managers, music writers, recording studios, sound engineers, photographers and artists to upload their details and share useful information about forthcoming live shows, releases and relevant news.
A wiki is a website usually created for a specific purpose using specific software which enables users to easily generate and edit content on a series of interlinked web pages. The most high profile example is the collaboratively user created online encyclopedia Wikipedia.
On the newly created site, there is a feature called a ‘snagging list’, in which users can suggest additions and improvements to the operation of the site.
