Following the announcement that representatives from the South by South West and Midem music conferences will be appearing in Newcastle on September 1, a series of similar briefing meetings have been planned in other UK cities by UK Trade and Investment (UKTI).
These meetings will be presented by Javier Lopez (Midem), Una Johnston (SXSW) and Phil Patterson (UKTI) and are designed for music industry professionals interested in taking their business to a broader international market.
The events will take place in the following cities:
Tuesday August 31st
Liverpool / North West briefing – 12.00 – 15.00hrs

Wednesday 1st September
Newcastle – 12.30 – 15.30hrs
Leeds – 19.30 – 22.30hrs
Thursday 2nd September
London – 11.30 – 13.00hrs – Midem
London – 14.00 – 16.00hrs – SXSW
Friday 3rd September
Cardiff – 11.30 – 14.30hrs
Bristol – 16.00-19.30hrs
General delegate registration for SXSW in 2011 has now opened, with media registration opening on September 7. The event takes place in Austin, Texas, US on 16-20 March 2011. To find out more, go to the SXSW website
