UK Festival Awards: The results

The winners of the UK festival awards have been announced, with Kendal Calling, Bestival and Glastonbury all walking away with plaudits.

At an awards ceremony in London last Thursday (18 November), Bestival was named best major festival, whilst its sister event Camp Bestival was awarded best family festival. Kendal Calling won in the category of best small festival and Camden Crawl was awarded best metropolitan festival.

Artists walking away with awards included AC/DC for best headline performance at Download festival and Mumford and Sons as best breakthrough act.

In addition, the organisers of Glastonbury festival were named as live promoters of the year and T in the Park won the coveted award for best festival toilets.
