On Saturday 10th September, the Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens will host a spectacular day of music from the North East’s rising stars. The official Split Festival Fringe event celebrates emerging North East music.

Generator's monthly SPEAR: LIVE gigs at Uncle Alberts continue to feature the best emerging music from around the North East, supported by Middlesbrough Town Hall.
Generator kicked off the build up to the Evolution Weekender with the Know How seminar series, the first panel featured Radio 1's Huw Stephens so we decided to run an extra event featuring some of the best emerging artists from the North East.
Since January 2010, Generator and Northern Film & Media have been working with musicians, remixers and video makers to create a unique collaborative project, titled Sound & Vision, which highlights the creative talent of the North East.
