Compact is Generator’s new programme of music business development seminars, which will offer a structured framework for pre-startup, new enterprises and established music businesses to support their growth.

 

PRE START MODULE

Music Business Kick Start

This module is aimed at advising those wishing to set up their own music business, but have yet to fully formulate their ideas. It is relevant to anyone looking to start up a business in any sector of the industry - management, label, live promotion, DIY artist, etc.

Topics to be discussed will include establishing your business model and revenue streams. There will be opportunities to discuss your personal business ideas and developing a clear action plan. This is delivered as a single 6 hour seminar.

 

NEW ENTERPRISE MODULES

Making Money From Recordings
Starting a Live Music Business
Music Publishing and Monetising Songwriting
Artist Management – Representing Emerging Talent

These seminars focus on a specific area of the music business supply chain such as Record Labels (including new label models), Live Music Promotion, Music Publishing and Artist Management. They are aimed at newly established music businesses to gain a deeper understanding of their sector and each module is delivered as a single 6 hour seminar.

Making the Most of Digital Marketing Platforms
Monetising Everything but the Music
Selling Music Without a Record Label
Music Licensing and Synchronisation

These seminars are designed to help established music businesses take a more strategic approach to their development. New business models and revenue streams will be examined and strategies for growth will be recommended. Each Business Growth Module will be delivered over 2 x 6 hour seminars.
