Following December's successful Compact Music Business workshops in Newcastle, Generator and Transmit Consulting are pleased to announce three new workshops for Sunderland, Gateshead and Middlesbrough focusing on Setting up a DIY record label, Placing music in Films, Games & TV, Digital Music Marketing & Distribution. Guest speakers at these events will include industry experts from Atlantic Records, Games company Ubisoft Reflections and Synch agent Woodwork Music.

Licensing music to film & TV, computer games, digital media has become a key revenue stream for many record labels, artists and publishers. It is estimated that licensing repertoire to film and TV generates around £25 million per year for UK labels alone (source: BPI) and millions more in publishing income.
This workshop will look at the synchronisation business and advise the best strategies for placing your music and generating income for your songs and recordings.

Rachel Wood - Woodwork Music (Syncs Agent)
Woodwork Music is an agency set up 4 years ago specialising in promoting a select range of dynamic and original, independently owned, music from a range of eras and genres for use in TV advertising, feature films, TV programmes, computer games and other visual media.
Rachel has placed music in campaigns with numerous brands across the globe including Fosters, T-Mobile, Volvo, Cherry Cola and Volkswagen. Woodwork Music has also recently placed music in US TV shows like CSI and The OC as well as various new feature films in the US and across Europe.
John Vincent- Ubisoft Reflections (Games Company)
The company was formed in 1984 in Newcastle and they have developed classic games like Shadow of the Beast and Driver which had three sequels and sold over 14 million copies. John Vincent is the Audio Direct at Ubisoft and has previously worked for Midway and Pivotal games.
