Radio is widely recognised as one of, if not the most important aspect to raising an artists profile. With this in mind, how does a new artist or label get airplay? What is it that radio executives are looking for and how can radio work with labels and acts in order to help them gain more exposure?

To improve the relationships between the music and broadcast industries, its important that record company executives and managers understand the issues and other pressures that radio stations face. Between labels, artists and radio stations are there common goals that can be reached?
