SPEAR:TALK - In conversation with Maximo Park

SPEAR:TALK is Generator's bi-monthly seminar series for Teesside, bringing industry experts and experienced musicians to The Crypt at Middlesbrough Town Hall to pass on their experiences and advice first-hand.

As part of our Maximo Park special, supported by NARC. magazine, we'll be hosting a special event with the band where you can find out what it's like to be in one of the UK's biggest bands and how they've changed and progressed throughout their career.

Paul and Lukas of Maximo Park will discuss the history of the band, how they formed and the challenges faced and lessons learned along the way. From their formation and origins in the North East to touring internationally and playing to huge audiences at festivals around the world, the critically acclaimed band have released three full-length album on independent label Warp.

Currently writing their fourth album in Newcastle (despite members living all over the UK), Maximo Park are at a point where they can reflect on their career so far and what the future may hold in store for them and other artists aspiring to follow in their footsteps.

Following SPEAR:TALK will be a special SPEAR:LIVE event with headline DJ set from Maximo Park, plus live performances from The Chapman Family, Mammal Club and Jimmy & The Sounds. Entrance is free and doors open at 8pm - for licensing reasons the venue is 18+.
