Lanterns on the Lake give us a sparking dose of cinematic indie. With their starry songs and lustrous melody, this band are quietly creating something truly magical and inspiring. The band have been championed by the likes of Steve Lamacq, Huw Stephens and Lauren Laverne and recently signed to the prestigious Bella Union record label releasing their debut album in 2011.

Polarsets
(9.45-10.15pm)
Polarsets play latin infused indie trance. It will make you feel better. The three piece from Whitley Bay have played alongside Delphic, Fenech Soler, Ellie Goulding and others. Their show is very high octane. Most of their gear is white. They aim to spread euphoria. Polarsets next release is through French label Kitsuné Records.
Toyger
(9.00-9.30pm)
Toyger are a five piece math-pop band from Middlesbrough. Formed in March 2010 they have played gigs up and down the North East including a showcase for BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson. Toyger have gained a reputation for their strong, energetic live shows, with Ten Feet Tall naming them one of their favourite new acts of 2010.

In Oceans
(8.15-8.45pm)
In Oceans are a 5 peice Alt/Prog-Rock band based in Newcastle. Since the release of their first self titled EP in September 2010, that received an excellent 8/10 in Rock Sound Magazine, the band have gained quite a large local following due to their intense live shows with bands such as Lower Than Atlantis, Blakfish, Periphery and Don Broco. For fans of At The Drive In, Foals and La Dispute.

Vinyl Jacket
(7.30-8.00pm)
Vinyl Jacket create their unique brand of ‘Diesel-Pop’. Their debut single Painting Stations released in February has been played by the likes of Huw Stephens, Steve Lamacq and Tom Robinson.
