Formed from the ashes of much-missed Sunderland outfit This Aint Vegas come Coal Train, a band with every bit as much skewed melody and sonic firepower as their predecessors. Drawing on influences such as The Band, Wilco and Red House Painters, the four-piece have etched a fresh new sound that still captures the raw energy of their DIY punk rock past. They release their next single 'Carry you on my shoulders' 11th April followed by a spring European tour covering Germany and Czech Republic.

Teessiders Jimmy & the Sounds play heartfelt indie rock, like the Gaslight Anthem with a distinctly North East twist. 2011 so far has seen a European tour and much acclaimed single release so expect big things.

Formerly known as 'The Great Escape', their debut EP 'Balance' in May brought critical acclaim around the North East. As well as support slots with Starsailor, Frankie & The Heartstrings, Joe Carnell and Little Comets, 2011 will see the band's sound move forward with the release of their second EP.

Tomahawks for Targets

Tomahawks for Targets are a band from the north-east of England. They currently make music using voices, guitars, drums and keyboards. Any change in this will be self-evident. There are four human components in Tomahawks for Targets. They released their debut E.P. in December 2010, and release their next E.P, "More of the Savage...” in April 2011.
