SPEAR: is one element of the artist development programme that Generator offers and consists of dedicated mentor support. Those artists selected to take part in the programme will be given a diagnostic that will enable our agency to make some assessment of skills gaps, skills competencies and identify the kinds of support required, for example, digital sales, management, legal, touring etc.

The mentor will help the artist navigate their way through the increasingly complex music industry, allowing them to realise and meet legitimate expressions of interest. They will also offer advice and guidance on any proposed management, publishing or recording offers.

Through SPEAR:, Generator can also provide access to a lawyer who may advise on legal particulars of any contract.

Artists chosen for our SPEAR: artist development programme will be selected using a panel made up of regional music professionals from venue managers through to journalists. Generator is looking for unsigned regional artists who demonstrate the greatest commercial viability.

This programme has been developed over the years in direct response to user feedback and recommendation. All our delivery models have a flexible design which allow for contributions and adjustments made by those that engage with the programme.
