UMT:VOX is a fully-funded 12-week course for emerging urban vocalists.
VOX teams vocalists, MCs and rappers with regional production mentors - enabling you to develop your own style and skills, record industry standard tracks, work in a professional studio environment and recieve expert industry training and artist development.

UMT:VOX seeks to explore, encourage and enable new creative talents within urban music, and links with UMT:BEATS will be established where possible.

ONE-TO-ONE MENTORSHIP FROM THE REGION'S FINEST URBAN PRODUCERS
You will work alongside established regional producers - they produce the beats and you write the music and lyrics.
Each course is celebrated with a high-profile club event in Newcastle and students gain experience of promoting and managing their own events.
Who are we looking for?
Vocalists, MC's and rappers aged 16-24. Spaces for VOX are extremely limited and young people will be selected using a set of criteria to satisfy funding requirments.
Generator's strong-track record of engaging young people through music attracts and holds the interest of young people who fall outside of conventional engagement. UMT courses develop vital life-skills and increase opportunities, contacts and exposure both in and outside of the music industry.
Where will it take place?
UMT:Vox will take place in the studios of established regional producers across Newcastle and at Generator's UMT Academy studio.
