AGE OF CONSENT

Song Title:
HEARTBREAK

Words by Paul Brown

Age of Consent consists of Joe Reeves and Darren Cullen. The pair met at Glasgow School of Art, and shipped themselves down to the smoke in an effort to focus on their work. Since forming, the duo have racked up some interesting remix credits for the likes of La Roux, Gary Numan and The Toxic Avenger, and put out their first release of their own music towards the tail end of last year.

Latest single 'Heartbreak' is an ambitious piece of work, a curio which demands a few listens before you can really begin to unpeel its layers. It’s a moody piece of synth-pop, dark in tone and jittery in rhythm. It’s oddly unsettling, but also naggingly catchy, and, all things considered, a seriously interesting piece of music. The single is released on June 11th on Inside Animals Records. The pair have a couple of London gigs coming up soon, at the Macbeth on June 13th and The Waiting Room on July 28th.
