Known for spreading a positive message through catchy radio-friendly hip-hop music, Glasgow/Ghana representative Kobi Onyame follows up his recent slot as Nas’ support act, with the video for ‘Dreams’ which is taken from his critically acclaimed debut album ‘Green Green Grasses.’
Following on from the buzz of his previous single ‘Protect Myself’ which saw him playlisted on Radio 1’s BBC Introducing, as well as being named runner-up to MTV’s Brand New Unsigned for 2012, Kobi’s new single borrows the talents of singer song-writer Jamie Sellers who provides the catchy hook which sets up for the up-and-coming rapper to spit verses about his career highlights so far and the journey to realising his dreams.
The track has already garnered the attention of BBC 1Xtra’s CJ Beatz and Radio 1’s Clyde 1 and has great potential to push Kobi’s name to the masses. For those who haven’t caught on to his music yet, this is a great introduction!
