A special evening of emerging music featuring Tom Robinson (BBC 6 Music, Tom Robinson Band). Tom will curate, introduce and perform in this one off event.
Featuring...
Brilliant Mind / Waiting For Winter / Nadine Shah / The Union Choir
Brilliant Mind

"Precise jangly guitars, tunefully effeminate vocals and a dose of intelligence that bands such as The Smiths, Pulp or The Housemartins delivered before indie became bastardised by Brit Pop." Breaking More Waves
Waiting For Winter

"Film noir starring Interpol as the cold-blooded killer, standing over the corpse of Six.by Seven." Word of Mouth
Nadine Shah

British born by way of Norweigan and Pakistani descent, Nadine Shah is a vocalist/pianist from a small North East town called Whitburn. The harsh, cold coast of the North Sea have shaped her songs into brutally honest, melancholic musings that have attracted the attention of Tom Robinson on 6Music.
The Union Choir

"Local indie bands are a common thing but a good local band is a rare thing indeed and Union Choir are in the latter category. They make music that matters wrapped in anger and passion. There were many parts to this experience as they synced to renew your faith in the scene producing big songs with depth and character. One of the best things about them is that they are not just trying to be like other bands; they are trying to make unforgettable music which lifts it above landfill indie nonsense and makes for an exciting future ahead."
